Stefano Isaia's GIANNI GIUBLENA ROSACROCE is back with new recordings: the great first cassette, "La Piramide Di Sangue" released by Yerevan Tapes one year ago, laid the foundation of the kraut-psych rock ensemble LA PIRAMIDE DI SANGUE (with the "Tebe" LP out on Boring Machines / Sound Of Cobra). 

Now he's back with his solo project, few nice mates helping (Dedalo666, Vernon, Jena) and two Tuareg girls reading Isaia's poetries in fulfulde (fula language).
The setting of La Mia Africa is a psych mid-eastern landscape, desert at sunset, ancient temples and a far far shore...

GGR keeps us in these atmospheres with a mysterious clarinet, tenebrous acoustic guitars, dreamy voices talking in a language that sounds far but fascinating and simple rare percussions give us the beat for a walk on the sand dunes. Following this charming music, we'll find the oasis in this desert...

Justin Wright / Expo 70 for this 12" keeps his psych drone space attitude mixed with kraut influences. Hanging the guitar at the wall in a corner, he recorded a great moog impro (using OPUS 3 and Realistic): a tranquil ambient soundtrack, dreamy as tangerine dream can be, perfect for a space journey, somewhere else near the stars, far far away from this earth we live on; a warm texture keeps us in vacuum place and no rythms come to bring us back to the reality. Listening to it, we thought there´s a magic place somewhere and we wanna find it and go there: but now, we just enjoy this 20mins Justin made for us.
The other side is for the brooklyn based musician John Bohannon aka ANCIENT OCEAN: hailing from the American South, he has howned a unique style of blissed-out  amibent/drone meets americana-rooted psychedelia. The spaceship we were on slowly turns into a submarine and from the outer space we quicly dive into a deep ocean made of guitar loops and samples, listening to it we feel lost in a mix of cold and warm currents and dark shadows swim all around. Nice to be here!

I first fell in love with èlg when I listened to his LP, Tout Plois, which was released on Kraak and later re-issued by S-S records in the US.
A few months later he showed up at my place whilst he was in Rome for a gig at DalVerme, and after hearing his live set that love became a passion!
One year later, here we are releasing his new record on cassette.
'In Coro' uses the same recipe as before: a weird mix of french pop, drones and cut-up, psyche folk and dreamy experimental sounds; electronics breaking on nightmare-ish voice samples, and rhythms which emerge and then succumb to pseudo ambient dilation. At times listening to it reminded me of Snakefinger in the mood for a chanson francias.

Magic Towers is a duo born in Vittorio Veneto and active from summer 2010: two nomad and egocentric knights. They use synths, delays, tape echoes and space sounds in order to compose or improvise ambient and delayed atmospheres and trips. The project is based on the inner observation and the visual contemplation of the sound. The image of the Tower – connected on one hand with the journey, the passage and the transit, on the other with the static position – reflects the attitude of MT: an observer looking for the right observation point. Space ambients, rhythms from the deep, melodic inserts and an evil beat out: in contemplation of the immense Void.

N4: recorded in Milano during the All Soul's Day 2011.
